E-commerce, or electronic commerce, is a general term for any type of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the transfer of information across the Internet.
Some of the major activities often associated with e-commerce are B2B (Business to Business), the computer-to-computer exchange of data and information between businesses, and B2C (Business to Consumer), the electronic internaction between businesses and consumers via internet server computers.
Electronic commerce has expanded rapidly over the past five years to continue or even accelerate. Its nearly impossible to opern a newspaper or magazine without coming across an article about how e-commerce is going to change our lives.
Businesses can often deal with hundreds or thousands of other businesses, either as customers or suppliers. Carrying out these transactions electronically gives obviously advantages over traditional methods.

But there are also some disadvantages:

Ø it is not possible to try on the clothing.
